Proposal & Treatment- Music Video
Proposal
The assignment for this project was doing a music video for a client (band or artist) with their own music. We got to a website where we could find unsigned bands/artist, choose some to send an email to know if they wanted to work with us in this project.
One band respond, their name is Shoot The Moon (shootthemoonofficial.co.uk). After many communications with our client, they choose the music they wanted us to do in the music
video. The one they choose was "Something Like This", from the album from the band.
The purpose of this video was to be something different, fun, that can call the attention of the audience.
Our video has, total time, 3 mins 26s and our main target audience is teenagers and young adults, that normally are the ones that like this music type and are the ones that watch again the video clips from the bands.
Treatment
In this video the character is going to appear interacting in two worlds. In the first world before the character puts the hat in his head, and the second after the character puts the hat in his head.
In the first world that the character is, in the "real world", that is coloured but gloomy and cold.
In the second world everything is different, the character is having fun, he plays a lot of instruments, he dances, runs, etc...In this world everything is black and white, but seems that gets out from a drawing.
Our character was dressed with black pants, white shirt, leather jacket and a hat. We also used cardboard instruments because first is something different, and second we could find every single instrument so we draw them all.
