Client Communication

In this journal entry I'm going to talk about our experience with the band that we choose, how we find them, show the emails that we exchange with them, some problems that we had between this weeks.

We found our band in a website where a bunch of unsigned bands, we send maybe five bands and (at the time) only one band responds to our email. Shoot The Moon is the band that answers and wanted to work with us.

In this first email we can see that we send an email to them saying that we were media students from Bridgwater & Taunton College, that we wanted to work with them and film a music video for one of their music's.

They contact us a couple of days after saying that they would like to work with us in this project.

In the second email we "choose" the music that we liked from the one's that we listened in the Soundcloud. They answer us that the music that we wanted (Doghouse) was from an old album and they wanted that we used something from the new album "One"; that album as 4 tracks, "It's a Trap", "Waiting", "Something Like This" and "Can You Hear Me Now?". Since that the last track already as a music video so we had to choose from the first three; in the end we choose "Something Like This" for our music video project.

In the third email they answer us that we could work we that music in our project and that they would be waiting to know dates and our ideas for the project.

After we start giving some dates, it start the "problems" first they couldn't between week days, what in this case is normal because some of the guys from the band work as teachers, and that means that they can't take a day off so we had to work between weekends and late afternoons/evenings.

Then their "band calendar" started to fill up with dates for concerts and that made our job to find a possible date for our project more difficult.
